8 Magazine Logo Design

It is time to add a possible new addition to the portfolio. Here is the first concept in the logo design process for a new client.
The logo is designed to reflect the content of the new hip hop magazine. For this logo I used the clients requested color black to display the young urban feel of the hip hop crowd. The logo shows a bit wild style taking the urban artform of grafitti and transforming it into business marketing.
The logo is drawn in Adobe Illustrator and is therefore a vector graphic and easily scalable. I decided though for the smaller version of the image to move the text inline so that it is more readable.

Thanks Omar,
I never actually finished this design. It was close and I believe the client was happy with the design, yet we haven’t completed the project yet.

this is much better that the original logo concept. The original wasn’t really legible.
