It has been a long time since I posted on the blog let alone since I drew some new icons. I have taken a serious break from graphic design lately as I have just not been motivated to draw anything new.

But that has since changed. A reader named Wouther has replied to a few of my old icon posts and sent me a couple of emails letting me know that some of the shit that I do is actually helpful to people. That, and he needed a few new icons.

I unfortunately wasn’t up to the task of working on my old set because in my eyes it has become a little stale so I decided to create an entirely new set of media icons.

As you can see above I have created a set containing 8 new media icons. You can download the free media player icons here. The icons come in 3 sizes. 32 x 32px, 64 x 64px, and 96 x 96px. I didn’t like the way they looked at 16px or above that, so I won’t be provided them in those sizes.

It is very exciting for me to unvail the newest version of the creadiv icons set. Version .03  is the third installment of the icon set and now has 101 icons available for free download.  Please check them out and use them wherever possible.  These icons are free to use however you want, there are no royalties and no licensing issues involved.  I am just creating these for fun and to give away to a great community.

 I look forward to seeing if you have been able to put them to use so email me or post a link here about how and where you are using them.  I am going to be continuing to draw these little guys but the next version won’t be out for quite some time as I hope to double the icon count before I bring you a new version.  In the mean time help me build the list of icons that I need.   It is hard to think of what I have and don’t have so if you could help me I would aprreciate it.

Today’s post as you can see has 3 previously drawn icons, and 2 new icons. 

 I decided that with my excitement to get a downoadable icon set to you I have not made my icons at there highest quality, and am now going back over some of them to create them in a better way.

 I have redrawn my feed icon, the add feed icon, and the delete feed icon.  I did this because when I was looking at them I could tell that the dimesions of each icon where not a symmetrical as I would have liked.  Now I will be doing this with the majority of the icons that I previously drew for this set.  I hope that it will make the set a little higher quality for you. 

 Today I also add the view feed icon, and the view icon.  Which are pictographically verbalized with a magnifying glass.  I hope you enjoy the two new icons and will be able to notice the increase in quality of the others as I continue to recontstruct them.

Another Monday after a weekend that went by much to quickly brings us back to the first three free icons of the new week.  Today I give you the note icon, the add note icon, and the delete note icon.  These icons are something you are probably pretty familiar with if you use Microsft Outlook.  They will complement any project in which you are allowing your users to comment on a post, leave a message on  a board, or basically anywhere you want somebody to be able to jot something down.  Enjoy these icons and please send me an email or a link to where you make use them.  I always like to see my designs being used.

It has been a few days since I made my last post releasing v.01 of the Creadiv Icon set.  I have been taking some time off to do other things.  I decided I worked to hard there for a little while. But now I am back in action with 5 more icons for you viewing pleasure.

Here are 5 new icons that will be added to v.02 of the Creadiv Icon set.  The icons are the back icon, forward icon, stop icon, play icon and pause icon.  I say they will be added to v.02 because I don’t want to be adding and uploading a new zip file every time I make a new icon so expect after 30 or so more to have the next version up and ready for you to download.

 Let me know if you have used any of my icons, or tell me what you think about them.  You could even give them a digg if you so feel like it.

Icons are a wonderfully useful tool when it comes to friendly user interface design.  With my first release of the free Creadiv Icon set I set forth to give you what are some of the most used icons in web application/page design.  These icons are free, and will continue to be free as long as I am creating them.  Which means v .02, v.03, and so on until we finally get to v 1 .0 which is what I am going to name the eventually complete set of icons.

I started creating these icons because I wanted to have something to give away to my readers, and becuase I wanted to contribute to the community that has offered me tons of free icons and scripts to use in my web application building process. 

I am very excited about this release and hope that you will find them helpful in your design efforts.  Please, if you use them let me know and show me some screen shots.  I would love to see what you have done with them and I may even right an article about you and your project.

Creadiv Icon Set V.01

Well I promised them and here they are.  The last 6 icons before I release the first download of the creadiv icon set.  Expect that I will continue to produce new icons on a daily basis, but maybe not quite the rate that I have produced these first 30 or so.

Tommorrow I will post a link to the first zip which you can download so I look forward to seeing if anybody uses them.

Well as I promised here are 3 more free icons. The home icon, the add home icon, and the delete home icon.

I think I will have 6 more icons coming at you today with the first download going to be available tommorrow morning.

After a long hard weekend of house work and installing a new screen door because mother nature blows and decided to do exactly that and rip my door in half it is nice to be back on the webs with 3 more free icons for you.  3 icons which every set needs, the document icon, the add document icon, and the delete document icon.

Through out the day today I would expect to see 3 to 6 more icons popping up on the blog which will definelty make me able to put out the first link to download the partial set.
