The Blogosphere Bigshots & More.

wp271

Hello Creadivs,

Today I would like to just tell you a little bit about what has been going on in the blogosphere. You know to see if you are up to date with all the cool things that have been going on and to make sure you aren’t missing out no any great stuff.

ecover-115x150 First and foremost the coolest and most important addition to the blogosphere is a new e-book that is out over at Freddie Taylor’s site.

The Blogosphere Bigshots - The title is about 1,000,000 characters long, but that is my only complaint about the book that I have.  It has a ton of great information from a wide variety of authors including the one and only Adam Mlynarcik aka me. You will find yourself wrapped up in 48 pages of information from  different  authors all giving you great tips on how to enhance your site.  All you need is to opt in with your email address to get the free book.

27Wordpress 2.7 is out and I love it. Do you?  I know some of you don’t care for it, but I do.  Tell me what your beefs are with the new design and layout of the software are, or tell me why you like it.

So far I think it is incredibly easy to use, it is simply sexy, and well I like updates.  I only have one problem with it, my auto upgrade feature doesn’t work.  For wp itslef, and for the plug-ins.  Looks like I am going to have to go around and do some searching on how to fix the issue.

wealthyJoe over at ImWithJoe has just launched his lastest project called Wealthy Affiliate . Wealthy affiliate is an online video course by Normal Joe that will teach you the secrects of how to make your online business successful.  I don’t know if you have ever watched any of Joe’s videos before but he has a great screen presence and his laid back way of presenting information really allows for a relaxed yet extremely effective learning environment.  Make sure you head over and sign up for his program today as you won’t want to miss out on any of what he has to say.

themecanLast but most certainly not least I would like to reintroduce you to my old friend prototype.  Some of you may remember him from when I first started drawing him for a venture known as themecannon.  Well I have decided to recreate myself as a designer / developer and once again try my hand at the Wordpress theme Market.

My friends Ned/TJ have graciously transferred the domain over to me meaning that I have a site just waiting for me to get my first premium theme done.  What theme you ask?  Well wptone will be becoming more than just an Adsense optimized theme it will soon be a premium adsense optimized theme with features galore.  More details coming soon.

In the mean time I hope you find some of what I have listed useful or a topic worth discussing.  Be sure to tell me of a few links you found that need to be shared.

What is More Important? Quality vs. Quantity Round 1

Lithium HostingHello Creadivs,

I have been spending a lot of time away from this blog lately as I try to develop new projects to increase my online earnings. Something I am sure many of you have noticed as the post frequency on Creadiv has dropped considerably. As I continue to develop new projects I have noticed that there is one question that I have to continually answer over and over again no matter what I am working on.

Which is more important Quality or Quantity?

I don’t want to be the person that determines the answer to this question simply because I don’t have the answer as you will see below. I want to determine it as a group or at least discuss it as a group. So I ask that over the next couple of days think of your best points / arguments for either quality or quantity and then let it be heard in the comments below. Anybody that participates will get their comment quoted and a free back link to their site in my next article summing up our discussion and hopefully our agreed upon decision.

Keep in mind that quality vs. quantity doesn’t just apply to blogging post frequency, or word count. It applies to all areas of business, like when it comes to building 1 premium theme or 5 lower quality themes, whether you have 1 Adsense site earning $10.00 a day or 10 earning $1.00 a day, if you have 1 completed profile on a social network or 6 incomplete profiles these are all different applications of the quality versus quantity debate.

In My Opinion There is No Answer

There is always a third option in every situation. Option 1, Option 2, or the Do Nothing Option. The Do Nothing option is the option I chose for this argument. Because I believe that you can’t make a complex question that simple.

In my opinion the Quality vs. Quantity debate is dependent upon too many factors to be simply answered.

The most notable factor is a person’s skill level.

I know I can’t produce the type of Wordpress theme that will sell for $100.00 a pop because I don’t know AJAX which is very popular at the moment and I don’t code well enough to do it. But I can sell links on free themes at my skill level. In this example my skill level doesn’t allow me to produce the quality needed to sell my product. However I can use a high quantity to still make a significant income meaning that in this application quantity is better than quality.

When it comes to building niche sites on the other hand I am almost certain that I have what it takes to create 1 very profitable site as opposed to having to create 10 sites to earn a profit which mean quality would trump quantity.

You can see how each individual circumstance can yield different results making this a very difficult question to answer.

However if you think I am wrong and just pussyfooting around answering the question tell me so and tell me why one is better that the other.
